Phoenix Energy CEO Adam Ferrari named 2026 Young Alumni Achievement Award Recipient

Phoenix Energy CEO Adam Ferrari Recognized by University of Illinois for Engineering and Entrepreneurship

Phoenix Energy CEO Adam Ferrari has been selected to receive the 2026 Young Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering.

Ferrari graduated magna cum laude with a degree in chemical engineering in 2005. His alma mater recognized his professional career for founding and leading a rapidly growing domestic energy company and for advancing innovation through entrepreneurship and engineering excellence.

“I really valued my time in Champaign,” Ferrari said. “Engineering education can help teach you how to think critically, how to solve problems, and how to keep working when the answer isn’t obvious. Those skills have been critical in my path as an entrepreneur.”

Ferrari and his fellow 2026 award recipients are scheduled to be honored at the University of Illinois Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering’s Alumni Awards Ceremony in October.
