Phoenix Energy has a strong record of developing Land professionals throughout the country. The Petroleum Landman is a key role within the Oil and Gas industry and at Phoenix Energy.

Candidates who have experience in Division Orders are highly encouraged to apply, although this is not required. Reviewing relevant title documents and producing ownership reports are key components of the land function at Phoenix Energy. This role will be critical in the growth of the business and will get exposure to every facet of the company. The ideal candidate for this role is able to think outside of the box and has a natural curiosity. You will be given all the training and tools needed to do this job efficiently and your success will be up to you.

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Must be able to effectively run title in the Rocky Mountain Region.
  • Prepare Due Diligence reports outlining risk factors pertaining to mineral and working interest acquisitions.
  • Complete title reports that outline ownership in areas of interest.
  • Work in proprietary database to update records and input new records.
  • Execute special projects to capture required industry information.
  • Calculate Mineral Interest, NPRIs, Working Interest, Overrides, Farmouts, etc.
  • Experience in Title curative including drafting Affidavits, Probating estates, preparing Stipulations, etc.
  • Experience examining and managing Federal Oil and Gas Leases is a major plus.
  • Enverus Experience a plus

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Required Skills:

  • Associate Degree – Willing to consider most 2-year degrees from an accredited university. No previous post-college work experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
