He began his career as a roughneck and roustabout, gaining hands-on experience in drilling operations and solids control systems, before expanding his background through work in the railroad industry and ultimately transitioning into mineral and leasehold acquisitions. That path across multiple sides of the energy sector—from the field to the deal table—has given Jon a practical, well-rounded perspective that informs everything he does. His expertise spans mineral and leasehold valuation, acquisition strategy, transaction structuring, and negotiation and relationship management with mineral owners and industry professionals alike.

Originally from Arlington, Texas, Jon is a proud husband and father. He and his wife Lindsey have two children, Willow and Truett, and family is at the center of his life outside of work. He also enjoys hunting, being outdoors, sports, and music—anything that brings people together.
