With four years of experience in the data science field, Mayur supports the Mineral Acquisitions team as a Jr. Data Analyst. He holds a Master’s Degree in Data Science and brings a well-rounded background across data engineering, analysis, and modeling. Before joining Phoenix Energy, he worked with the City and County of Denver as a Data Analyst supporting multiple audit teams. He previously held roles as a Data Scientist at ICR Inc. and a Data Engineer at NICE, where he built ETL pipelines and supported large-scale data migration projects.

Mayur is skilled in Python, Power BI, and Excel, and enjoys finding ways to automate manual processes and introduce efficiencies. One of his key accomplishments was developing a risk-detection model for the City and County of Denver that helped leadership identify high-risk transactions and significantly reduce their number through enhanced validation checks. He’s motivated by the opportunity to explore new ideas and contribute analytical solutions that drive accuracy and smarter decision-making for the Minerals team. Looking ahead, he hopes to grow into a full Data Scientist role and take on more complex machine learning work.

Originally from Pune, India, Mayur comes from a family of four and credits them with fostering his drive and work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoys trekking, cooking, and maintaining a consistent workout routine—habits that keep him grounded and energized. He’s also proud of the strides he’s made toward building a healthier lifestyle and applying that same discipline to his professional growth.
