Mason Thompson is a Land Data Entry Clerk in the Land department at Phoenix Energy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas and spent 7.5 years at Kroger, where he progressed through multiple roles and developed strong operational instincts. A standout achievement during that time was leading an inventory audit that uncovered a significant discrepancy in received inventory for an entire quarter—a find that speaks to his attention to detail and initiative. Oil and gas runs in the family; his father has worked in the industry through Oxy Chem throughout his career, giving Mason a personal connection to the field he is now building his own career in.

Mason is a hands-on learner who thrives working alongside a collaborative team. At Phoenix Energy, he is focused on bringing a driven mentality and reliable support to the Land team as he grows his knowledge of the industry.

A Dallas native, Mason has a twin sister currently in law school. Outside of work, he enjoys collecting vinyl and CDs, watching sports, and playing video games.
