Melissa Pacheco is a Revenue Accountant at Phoenix Energy with more than 27 years of experience in revenue, marketing, and reporting accounting within the oil and gas industry. A graduate of Colorado State University–Pueblo, she has built a well-rounded career through roles at companies including Ovintiv/Encana and Western Gas Resources. Her background includes revenue distribution, accruals, reconciliations, production taxes, owner inquiries, and marketing counterparty settlements, giving her a strong understanding of how accounting supports both operations and stakeholders.

Throughout her career, Melissa has contributed to implementing processes to decrease variances while maintaining a high level to detail to ensure financial accuracy and assisted with system implementations. Working alongside operations, midstream, revenue, and marketing teams, she helped improve efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across asset teams—an experience that reflects her commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.

Originally from Leadville, Colorado, Melissa is the youngest of seven and a proud mother of two. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, volunteering with the Food Bank of the Rockies, spending time with family, and cheering on Colorado sports teams. At Phoenix Energy, she supports the operating team by applying her extensive accounting experience to help drive accuracy and long-term value.
